7/12 washers are functional, if one was cleaned from what looks like concrete it may have been 8/12 are... functional.

Serious issues with the fire alarm without any fire or smoke
The building Fire alarm has been going off more than ~9 times in the span of a year and has been damaging my ears ever since.... It also does not help that I have a sensitive hearing. When I say fire alarms, I am not talking about smoke detector. I am talking about the FIRE ALARMS that goes off in the entire building with a deafening sound that can send an elderly into a heart attack, and you can expect it to go off again for at least two or three more times that day when it does malfunction for a good 10-15 minutes. The worst part is that the alarm ALWAYS goes off at 1AM, 3AM, and 5AM when everyone is sleeping, to cause that good extra damage to everyone that is living in the building.Read More about Serious issues with the fire alarm without any fire or smoke

Hello Benia,
I understand these alarms can be very loud and they have gone off a few times this year. We had items replaced in the panel when the trouble error was not clearing. The Municipaility of Anchorage Fire Department did have this cleared once, and as for the recent one, someone took an alarm horn down in their apartment which set off the building. Weidner Apartment Homes takes safety very serious and want to make sure that if there is ever a fire (which we hope this never happens) that everyone wakes from their sleep and is able to escape safely and as quickly as possible. The decibel of the alarms are approved and set by the Municipality of Anchorage Fire Department. We are very happy to know these alarms do work- but, also know that when someone starts to touch anything that relates to the alarms, it is out of our control unfortunately.

These false fire alarms has happened multiple times ever since I rented this place. I have a condition where I have a sensitive... sense of hearing, and this problem has caused me many hearing issues and pain. The MOST ANNOYING part of this is the timing when it happen is always at 2:00AM - 11:30AM.

Safety is something we take seriously. The alarms can go off for a multitude of reasons from an old smoke alarm that needs to be replaced to an actual fire. We want to make sure our community stays safe and everything is in working condition. There are times where someone pulls the pull station and then they get fined.
