La Maisonnette

"I've been living at La Maisonette 6 mo. I heard a lot of bad things about Weidner before moving in, but tbh, Weidner has been great. Especially our new property mgr, Mary. She took over a couple months ago and has been so responsive and helpful. Also, maintenance requests are completed super fast! And the maintenance guys have all been lovely to chat with and take their time to address ALL your issues (even if they are on different work orders), and provide education on preventative things to keep things ship shape. The location at La Maisonette is stellar--so close to everything, I barely need my car. The only complaint is the parking lot is rather cramped (and even more difficult in the snow), and there is a LOT of street noise. But overall, it's a great, safe neighborhood and it's one of the better apartments I've seen since moving to Anchorage."

"My boyfriend and I moved into these apartments back in 2018, we fell IN LOVE with it. It was our first apartment together and figured it was big enough for the two of us: 2 bed 2 bath. The parking situation wasn’t too bad, people followed their assigned parking 99% of the time, the fan in the master bath could have worked better, it was super humid in the room ALL THE TIME, and the building itself was always super hot during all seasons. Regardless, we weren’t planning on moving anytime soon, but after the fire we had no choice. It was hard finding a place we loved just as much, if not more for around the same price. The staff was wonderful, the maintenance could have been better. The neighbors were always friendly. Once they repair building B I would definitely recommend this complex to friends and family. Super sad we had to move under these conditions, we will miss our neighbors! Thank you La Maisonnette staff for making our two years there wonderful."

"I love La Maisonette Apartments. For the price range I was seeking, I was having a difficult time finding comparable apartments to where I am now. I really enjoy my apartment - I'm on the end, it's pretty quiet most of the time, I can have my cat, I have a beautiful fireplace, love having a balcony, love the carport and ample parking space, convenient location, and I have two bedrooms two bath. I love my home and wouldn't change it for the world right now. With that said, I am less impressed with the lack of a vent for my kitchen. Any time I cook on my stove top, I have to open all windows and my balcony door AND have a fan blowing smoke out. And it will still be smoky as HELL. My fireplace pilot light goes out ALL. THE. TIME. At least once a day some days 15 times a day, no exaggeration the pilot light goes out and I have to get down on the floor and open it up and relight it, which is also a pain in the as , might I add. There is also a serious moisture problem in the master bathroom, to the point that the toilet is always dripping wet. It's disgusting I can't even use that toilet. And I am very good about keeping fresh air in the apartment, but at the very least I feel it would be appropriate for the management company to provide a de-humidifier for the unit. I am paying for two fully operating bathrooms and I can't even use the toilet in one of the bathrooms. That doesn't seem right. From what I gather in my own assumptions, La Maisonette was once a dive and has either had a change in ownership or a change in management and you're re-doing units as efficiently as possible fireplace, new carpet, etc to bring better income for the owner so as to continue remodeling units and the rest of the property. I love the idea and I think you're doing a great job in a lot of ways. I truly would like the above-mentioned issues addressed. I am a businesswoman, I like the business model you seem to have, I truly love my apartment. The only things that are holding your review back from 5 stars and a recommend to friends is the overspread maintenance crew you appear to have, the lack of kitchen vent, and the unusable toilet. Glenda rocks."
